Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the Calculator app ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information.

1. Data Collection and Usage

We keep calculations and in-app settings on your device and do not send them to our servers. However, we now use Firebase services for analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring, which collect limited app and device data to help us improve stability and measure basic usage.

Data collected via Firebase may include an app instance identifier, device information (model, OS version, language, time zone), usage events (e.g., app opens, feature taps), performance timing metrics, and crash logs with stack traces. We do not deliberately collect names, email addresses, or other direct identifiers.

2. Permissions

The app does not require any special permissions (such as camera, microphone, or location) to function.

3. Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase services provided by the packages @react-native-firebase/app, @react-native-firebase/analytics, @react-native-firebase/crashlytics, and @react-native-firebase/perf.

Firebase processes the data listed above on our behalf to provide aggregated analytics, crash diagnostics, and performance insights. Data is transmitted to and stored by Google; it may be processed on servers located outside your country. For details, see the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation and the Google Privacy Policy.

The distribution platform you use to install the app may also collect device-level statistics under its own privacy terms.

4. Your Choices

You can opt out of personalized analytics on your device by adjusting your platform settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android). Crashlytics and performance monitoring run by default to maintain app quality; if you want these disabled, contact us and we can provide a build with diagnostics turned off.

To request deletion of Firebase event data linked to your app instance ID, email us with your request; we will forward the deletion request to Firebase where supported.

5. Children's Privacy

Since we do not collect any personal information, our app is safe for use by children of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
